CHARLES BUCK

Charles Buck is a leading UK practitioner and teacher of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.
After his BSc in physiology taken at Bristol University Medical School Charles completed a three-year
full time degree in acupuncture and followed this with two years training in Chinese herbal medicine
and further training at the Traditional Medical School in Shanghai. Later he was awarded a Master of
Science degree in acupuncture through the University of Wales. He has practised in Chester for over
twenty years and is senior lecturer at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York and at the Skolen
for Akupunctur in Copenhagen. He is External Examiner on various Masters level Chinese medicine courses
and a MSc student supervisor in York. Mr Buck was elected a Fellow of the Register of Chinese Herbal
Medicine in recognition of his teaching and publication contribution to this field in the UK. He is
also a member of the British Acupuncture Council. He is director of the Chester Clinic for
Complementary Medicine.
